Click Preferences in either the Meeting, Share, Video, Audio, or Recorder menu to set Web conferencing options. The Preferences dialog box allows you to configure these settings:
This tab provides the default screen sharing options which include:
Colors: 256 colors, High Color (16-bit) and True Color (24-bit).
Scan Rate: Low, Medium, or High.
Default Sharing Type: Desktop, Application, Region
Hide MiCollab Audio, Web and Video Conferencing client from participants: If enabled, participants will not see the MiCollab Audio, Web and Video Conferencing client while in sharing mode.
Always prompt before starting to share: If enabled a pop-up will appear prompted you "Are you sure you want to start sharing" every time you start sharing. This option can also be disabled on the pop-up.
Use advanced sharing: If enabled, sharing will automatically be launched in the advanced sharing mode instead of basic sharing.
Options for the Video tab include:
Frames/Sec: The higher the number of frames per second the smoother the video motion. When there is a higher number of frames, more data is sent. The default is 8 frames per second.
NOTE: A frame rate of 8 or 15 is recommended. Rates higher than 15 may slow the performance of your computer.
Raw Image Size: The resolution of the video image. The default size is 352 x 288.
Quality: Good, Better or Best. The default quality is Better. You can change the video quality as needed. Higher quality requires more bandwidth.
NOTE: Higher resolutions may slow the performance of your computer.
High Definition Video Capability: When you first launch the client after a new install, a test is automatically performed to identify the HD Video capability of your computer system.
Use a test to configure the HD Video capability
Perform HD Video Capability Test button allows you to run the test again.
NOTE:
HD Video feature must be enabled at the server-level to see resolutions
and HD video capability.
HD video is a processor-intense feature that may cause this application
to become non-responsive during video streaming. Should this occur, close
the application, rejoin the session and disable this feature.
Select audio source for receiving and sending audio through PC.
NOTE: You can change the audio source as long as you have not started the audio session. The system will use the selected devices for playback purposes, you can change the default devices from this menu.

Collaboration Server. When you select this option, the Recording Description dialog box appears with the description for the recording pre-populated. The description is either the name of the conference or the word "Conference" followed by the date and time.
